ZTE V9 and Z-Pad 7-Inch Android Tablets Hands On

We spotted a couple of Android tablets from ZTE over at GSM 2010. The one looking like a Samsung Galaxy Tab is the V9, already released in Russia for about $330 and launching in Australia next month through Optus (with slightly differing specs) for $279 while the Archos 9 look-a-like is the Z-Pad and we’re not sure about any previous whereabouts or pricing at the moment. Both tablets have decent designs and share 7-inch 800 x 480 resistive touchscreens, Android 2.1 with later updates likely, Bluetooth and GPS.
The Z-Pad is supposedly packing a dual core, unspecified Rockchip processor, along with a Mali GPU, g-sensor (didn’t work in the demo) no internal storage, 1.3MP front facing camera and ports – mini USB, USB and SD card slots. No 3G.
The V9 packs in a 728MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the same as in the Huawei S7, a 2.0MP rear camera, GPS, 3G and WiFi hotspot with ports – mini USB, card reader, headphone, volume rockers.
And photos of both:
